“Goldilocks and the Three Bears”

A school assignment to create a full bleed double page spread based on a folktale to accompany the text. I chose goldilocks and the three bears and experimented with acrylic washes on watercolor paper. I really wanted to understand my style and how animals would fit into that. I took the advice of my teacher who guided me in creating a world of my own. He asked “what does Goldilocks look like in your world?”. To me, Goldilocks was anything but a sweet little girl, that thought inspired this rendition of the classic tale.
